1 Injured in Cajon Pass Crash on Southbound 15 Freeway

CAJON PASS, CA (August 3, 2020) – Saturday morning, authorities airlifted a person after an auto accident on southbound 15 Freeway.

The authorities received reports of an overturned car with a trapped occupant. The reports arrived at around 7:48 a.m.

When the San Bernardino County Firefighters arrived, they confirmed that the vehicle fell around 100 feet over the side and they need extrication.

Thus, a medical helicopter responded to the scene and led to the closure of the freeway. At around 8:20 a.m., Mercy Air 22 airlifted the injured patient to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.

Meanwhile, the second car involved in the crash remained at the scene. However, it’s unclear whether the driver had injuries.

Moreover, the crash led to a traffic backup for several miles on the southbound 15 Freeway.

It is important to always abide by all traffic laws and to do your part to prevent devastating consequences to you and others. If you find yourself unable to safely operate a vehicle, there are always other options for transportation.
