SPRING VALLEY, CA (April 19, 2022) – Saturday night, a 54-year-old woman died in a pedestrian crash on Paradise Valley Road and Worthington Street.
 
The incident occurred just after 11:00 p.m. on Paradise Valley Road, est of Worthington Street.
 
According to reports, the woman walking north attempted to cross Paradise Valley Road. However, a 2021 Toyota Rav-4 also headed east on Paradise Valley Road.
 
Then, the vehicle struck the woman as she walked in front of it. As a result, the Oceanside woman died at the scene. Her identity remains undisclosed due to pending family notification.
 
Moreover, the 52-year-old Lakeside man driving the SUV suffered no injuries and stayed at the scene.
 
Also, officers noted that the driver was sober. However, the woman may have consumed alcohol or drugs.
