1 Injured, Lee Peneranda Arrested after Santa Barbara Car Accident on Dartmouth Lane

 
SANTA BARBARA, CA (November 6, 2019) – A woman suffered critical injuries while authorities arrested another after a car accident on Dartmouth Lane.
 
The crash happened on November 3 after 1:00 p.m. in the 4000 block of Dartmouth Lane.
 
The female victim in her 30s reportedly held on to the vehicle as it pulled away, Capt. Daniel Bertucelli revealed. She then let go and sustained major head injuries.
 
Responders took the woman via an AMR ambulance to the Santa Maria Airport. A CalStar medical helicopter then flew her to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, Bertucelli revealed.
 
Her identity and condition remains unreleased as of this tine,
 
Meanwhile, authorities arrested the vehicle driver, 42-year-old Lee R. Peneranda of Santa Maria. They arrested Peneranda on suspicion of felony DUI causing great bodily injury, Raquel Zick, a Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department public information officer said.
 
He’s still in custody Monday afternoon at the Santa Barbara County Jail, with bail set at $100,000.
