Pedestrian Hospitalized in Berkeley Crash
BERKELEY, CA (May 8, 2019) – An elderly woman suffered critical injuries Sunday after a vehicle struck her at Oregon and Sacramento streets.
According to the Berkeley Police Department, officers responded to reports of the collision at 5:56 p.m.
Reports noted that a 69-year-old woman was crossing Sacramento Street at Oregon Street when a southbound vehicle struck her.
As a result of the crash, the woman suffered serious injuries, prompting paramedics to transport her to a nearby hospital. Meanwhile, the 58-year-old Berkeley man remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
As of Monday afternoon, the woman was in stable condition.
However, it is unclear what factors contributed to the cause of the crash.
