Woman Dead After Tragic Crash on Interstate 35 in Kansas City

Kansas City, MO (November 8, 2024) – On Thursday night, a woman died in a crash on Interstate 35.

Reportedly, a pickup truck fatally struck a female pedestrian Thursday night at Interstate 35 and Lone Elm Road in Olathe.

The crash occurred around 6:15 p.m., and officers arrived to find the 37-year-old woman unresponsive, according to a news release from the Olathe Police Department. 

She succumbed to her injuries shortly afterward.

The 57-year-old driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation, police said. 

Authorities have not yet released the victim’s name.
