Wayne Sanders Dies in Pedestrian-Vehicle Accident on Grand Avenue
Oakland, CA (December 10, 2020) – On Thursday, 69-year-old Wayne Sanders died in a pedestrian accident on Grand Avenue at Wildwood Avenue.
Police responded to the accident scene shortly after 6:15 p.m. in the 3300 block area for a report of a pedestrian down near a grocery store.
The authorities, together with other first responders, provided emergency life-saving measures to the victim.
Even so, the victim was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
Meanwhile, officers blocked traffic at Wildwood Avenue and Weldon Avenue for at least an hour as part of the investigation.
Furthermore, reports saying that a vehicle involved in the incident stayed at the scene were not confirmed as of Thursday evening.
