3 People Including Infant Hospitalized after T-Bone Collision on State Route 18 Near Willow Wells Avenue

 
Lucerne Valley, CA (July 4, 2021) – A two-vehicle collision on State Route 18 near Willow Wells Avenue left three people injured on Saturday afternoon.
 
The incident took place on July 3 at about 2:42 p.m. on State Route 18 near Willow Wells Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol incident logs, two vehicles including a motorhome and a red 4-door Toyota Sedan were involved in the collision.
 
The t-bone collision between the two vehicles blocked the eastbound lanes of the highway. As a result, the sedan sustained major side damages while the RV sustained major front-end damages.
 
As of writing, it is unclear what events led up to the collision.
 
Furthermore, the extent of the collision left three people including an infant trapped in one of the vehicles. San Bernardino County Firefighters responded to the scene and extricated all the trapped patients. Then, medics transported them to St. Mary’s Medical Center via ground ambulance for treatments.

However, there has been no update regarding their conditions.
 
Authorities cleared the scene at about 3:00 p.m. Moreover, the CHP is still investigating the incident.
