Chandler, AZ (November 1, 2020) – On Saturday, two people were killed in a vehicle crash on westbound Loop 202.
 
The fatal incident transpired at about 1:51 p.m. near Kyrene Road wherein a trooper was also injured.
 
Further, a Department of Public Safety Trooper was parked on the left shoulder investigating a single-car crash. Suddenly, a white car drove into the shoulder and crashed into his vehicle.
 
The authorities pronounced both the unidentified male driver and female passenger dead.
 
Meanwhile, the rescuers took the trooper to the hospital. He is expected to be fine.
 
Further, the authorities continue to investigate the incident. Also, it has not been determined if impairment was a factor in the incident.
