1 Dead in Los Angeles Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 5 and Highway 118
LOS ANGELES, CA (May 9, 2023) – Sunday night, an Arleta man died in a tragic pedestrian crash on Interstate 5.
The incident happened at 8:06 p.m. on Interstate 10 and Highway 118 interchange.
According to reports, a naked man walked through traffic on the northbound side of the freeway, north of Highway 118 interchange.
The authorities suspect that the man crossed all northbound lanes on foot. Then, he jumped the median wall and attempted to cross the southbound lanes. However, a vehicle hit him and left him with fatal injuries.
When the CHP officers arrived, they found the body of the man who was hit by numerous vehicles. He was found lying mostly in the carpool and second-left-most lane.
Also, the authorities haven’t determined why the man tried to cross the freeway on foot.
Meanwhile, a 40-year-old Baldwin Park woman driving a 2014 Scion remained at the scene after hitting the pedestrian. Her car sustained major front-end damage.
Reports confirmed that no other driver remained at the scene. Moreover, the authorities didn’t charge the Baldwin Park woman with any crime.
