ONTARIO, CA (December 25, 2023) – Saturday night, a tragic pedestrian crash on Interstate 15 and 4th Street killed one person.

The incident happened at around 8:17 p.m. on northbound Interstate 15, at the 4th Street exit.

According to the California Highway Patrol, an SUV struck a pedestrian who was running across lanes on the northbound Interstate 15 for still unknown reasons.

Moreover, responding paramedics pronounced the pedestrian, dead at the scene.

Furthermore, officers confirmed that the driver of the SUV remained at the scene and called 911 after the collision.

Meanwhile, the crash closed the Nos. 1, 2, and 3 lanes of the interstate.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
