Tobin Ditter Pronounced Dead after Motorcycle Accident near Highway 16 in Gorst
GORST, WA (May 5, 2020) – On Monday, a motorcyclist identified as Tobin Ditter died in a crash on Highway 3, near the Highway 16 interchange.
Reports from the Washington State Patrol later revealed that a trooper noticed the motorcyclist riding at a high rate of speed. Due to this, the officer activated his emergency lights.
Ditter then accelerated and rode south on Highway 3. However, he crashed with another car on Sam Christopherson Avenue West intersection. Due to the impact, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead on scene.
Meanwhile, the driver of the car remained uninjured.
The surrounding area on Highway 3 was closed off for a brief time during preliminary duties. However, the roadway has since reopened. Towing services were also requested in the area due to the extent of damage sustained.
At this time, the authorities are withholding the identity of the deceased motorcyclist.
Authorities seek for more evidence and continue to investigate the crash. Once available, further information regarding the collision will be released the to public.
