APPLE VALLEY, CA (January 29, 2019) – A mother of two was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver Sunday morning on Highway 18 near Apple Valley Road.
A couple driving along Highway 18 noticed what appeared to be a body in the eastbound lanes of the highway. The couple, among several other witnesses, stopped at the scene and contacted 911. Tiffany Lee Offerdahl was found with serious injuries and was immediately rushed to St. Mary’s Hospital where, in spite of life-saving efforts, she was pronounced dead.

Offerdahl leaves behind a 3-month-old, a 13-month-old and her husband, Richard Offerdahl.
According to her husband, he is unsure why his wife was out walking around that time when she was supposed to be at a rehab appointment.
