Pile-Up Accident near Etiwanda Avenue

FONTANA, CA (December 9, 2018) – A total of three vehicles were involved in a crash on 10 Freeway, early Sunday morning. The involved parties’ identities were not immediately released.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 3:07 AM, near the Etiwanda Avenue off-ramp. Based on reports, a car spun out on the highway and came to rest in the No. 1 and 2 lanes. As per reports, two other vehicles were struck by debris, causing a pile-up.

The second vehicle was found down in the embankment, while the third one landed in the No. 5 lane.

Paramedics were requested to the scene for needed medical attention. No report was released regarding the condition of the involved motorists, or if they were hospitalized for treatment of injuries. All lanes were temporarily closed while clearing operations were performed in the area.

The cause of the collision is currently under investigation, and additional information will be disclosed to the public, once it becomes available.
