THOUSAND OAKS, CA – Pedestrian Struck, Injured by Car on East Hillcrest Drive Near North Rancho Road

Person Hospitalized Following Thousand Oaks Crash

 
THOUSAND OAKS, CA (February 20, 2019) – A man was hospitalized Monday evening after being hit by a vehicle in the 1300 block of East Hillcrest Drive near North Rancho Road.
 
The incident happened just east of Highway 23 around 6:10 p.m. A man was said to be crossing the roadway outside of a marked crosswalk when he was hit.
 
Neither party was under the influence and the pedestrian was rushed to the hospital and underwent emergency surgery.
 
There were no details concerning the events leading to the crash, but a follow-up investigation is underway.
 
Drivers are becoming more distracted and comfortable on the road. It’s important to remember that anything can happen at inopportune times. Pay attention to the road ahead and be leery in areas where it’s hard to see. Pedestrians are also reminded to cross only when and where it’s safe to do so.
