2 Cars Involved in Afternoon Collision on Grand Avenue in Thermalito

 
THERMALITO, CA (March 10, 2019) – A woman was injured following a two-car crash Sunday afternoon in Thermalito, CHP officials said.
 
The crash happened around 3:25 p.m. at the intersection of Grand Avenue and Tehama Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Honda Civic collided with another Honda car for unknown reasons. The impact caused major front-end damage on one car and minor rear-end damage on the other.
 
A female occupant sustained a possible eye injuries a result of the crash. It was immediately known if the patient was taken to a hospital or treated at the scene.
 
Both damaged cars were towed away for evidence.
 
The westbound traffic was shut down during the rescue and clearing operations.
 
An investigation is still ongoing to determine who was at fault and to gather all the factors involved in the accident.
