Driver Rams Edmonds Police Cars and Attempts to Run Over Officers, Arrested

 
Edmonds, WA (November 25, 2020) – Tuesday night, police arrested two suspects after an attempt to run over two officers and rams two police cars.
 
The incident happened at around 10 p.m on November 24.
 
Reportedly, police responded to the 900 block of Daley Street following a report of a car driving through the neighborhood and the occupants opening mailboxes.
 
Police then found the vehicle leaving the area and pulled it over on 86th Pl W, a dead-end street, off Bowdoin Way.
 
Moreover, police said one of them had to jump into a large bush to avoid being run over while the other had to jump out of the way when the driver made a sudden U-turn and sped toward them on the narrow street.
 
Further, the driver then sideswiped their patrol vehicle, shattering the driver’s side window and damaging its body. Then it also happened to a sergeant when turning onto 86th Pl W, damaging the driver’s side push bar and mirror.
 
Shortly after, the male driver and his female passenger ran away on foot near the Five Corners neighborhood.
 
The 38-year-old woman then found hiding near an abandoned house while the 24-year-old Kent man hid in a home’s garbage can.
 
Both were arrested. Investigators said the woman had a Department of Corrections warrant for drug violations.
 
The man is facing three counts of first-degree assault, two counts of malicious mischief, eluding a police vehicle, and driving on a suspended license. He also had two felonies and two misdemeanor warrants.
