SAPD says that the van-motorcycle collision happened at the intersection with South Bryant Boulevard.

Reports say that a southbound white Ford Transient Connect van attempted to turn east on Avenue L and collided with a northbound motorcycle rider. Officials say that the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed at the time of the crash.

The injured rider was rushed to Shannon Medical Center with serious injuries.
