Girl Hurt in San Diego Pedestrian Accident
SAN DIEGO, CA (February 26, 2019) – A 15-year-old girl suffered a fractured leg Saturday after she was struck by a Jeep driver at Palm Avenue and Saturn Boulevard.
The pedestrian accident happened at approximately 6:37 p.m., according to San Diego Police Officer Robert Heims.
A 35-year-old man was driving a black 2018 Jeep was heading westbound on Palm Avenue. Soon after, his vehicle struck a 15-year-old girl. According to reports, the victim was reportedly running from the middle island to the north side of the street.
The girl’s right femur was fractured in the incident.
The driver of the Jeep stayed at the scene. The driver was questioned by officers who later determined that alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
