Fatal Pedestrian Accident on 15 Freeway in San Diego

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (March 13, 2019) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident early Wednesday morning along the southbound lanes of 15 Freeway in San Diego.
 
The fatal incident happened around 1:40 a.m. at the Aero Drive off-ramp.
 
CHP officials said a Nissan Altima hit a male pedestrian near the start of the off-ramp. The victim, whose name has been withheld pending family notification, was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
The Nissan driver remained at the scene and cooperated with officers.
 
No additional information was provided at this time. CHP officials are handling the probe and intends to determine the mechanics of the crash, as well as the circumstances surrounding the incident.
