RIVERSIDE, CA – Woman Injured in Two-Car Accident on 91 Freeway

Sedan and SUV Involved in Late Afternoon Crash on at Tyler Street

 
RIVERSIDE, CA (March 25, 2019) – An unidentified woman was injured following a two-car accident on 91 Freeway late Monday afternoon.
 
Authorities received reports about the collision just west of Tyler Street around 5:23 p.m. First responders arrived on the eastbound lanes of the freeway soon after.
 
The two vehicles involved were identified as a white Ford Fusion and a white Mazda SUV. According to reports, the two cars collided for unknown reasons. The HOV lane of the highway was also consequently blocked following the crash.
 
A female occupant in the Mazda was found suffering head and arm injuries upon medics arrival. Responding paramedics transported her to a nearby hospital for further treatment. The identity and condition of the patient were not immediately known.
 
Furthermore, an investigation is currently ongoing to ultimately determine liability and the cause of the accident.
