RICHMOND, CA – 2 Injured in Crash on 580 Freeway at Bayview Avenue

Early Morning Collision on 580 Freeway in Richmond Leaves Two People Injured

 
RICHMOND, CA (January 20, 2019) – Two people were injured following a traffic collision early Sunday morning in Richmond.
 
The collision happened around 2:37 a.m. on westbound 580 Freeway, just East of Bayview Avenue.
 
The number of vehicles involved were not immediately clear, but at least one went about 50 feet off the freeway and into the bushes.
 
An ambulance unit was dispatched to the scene and located two occupants with head injuries. The patients were taken to a hospital in unknown conditions.
 
No additional information was provided at this time. The California Highway Patrol is still piecing together exactly what led up to the crash.
