The Results of Unprecedented Events
In the case of accidental death, the family of the victim must be aware of their rights under the law. This means that there may be a right to file a lawsuit against the people responsible for the death of their loved one. Those closest to the victim may have the right to seek compensation for their loss. Common examples include funeral expenses, then medical bills, and finally the “loss of consortium”. Loss of consortium means the deprivation of future affection and companionship over an untimely death.
“Our firm works tirelessly to ensure that the people we work for are granted the highest restitution possible. Although nothing can bring back those dearly departed, we strive to secure the future of our clients, protecting them from further losses,” explains Mark Sweet of Sweet Lawyers.
