Brutal Hit-and-Run Crash on Austin Street Injures 2 People [San Antonio, TX]

San Antonio, TX (April 29, 2024) Early Monday morning, a man and a woman were hurt after a violent hit-and-run crash on Austin Street.

According to SAPD, the auto-pedestrian crash happened around 2 a.m. in the 400 block of Austin Street, near Lamar Street and Interstate 37.

Reports say that a black jeep struck a man in his 30s and a woman in her 20s, both pedestrians had just left a bar just east of downtown.

Officials say that the Jeep fled the scene without stopping to render to both injured victims.

Medics treated the woman a the scene, while the man was transported to the hospital after suffering non-life-threatening injuries.

The San Antonio Police Department, the San Antonio Fire Department, and EMS all responded to the scene.

Police are investigating the horrific hit-and-run crash and have not released further information at this time.
