Quyen Luu Killed in Garden Grove Solo-Car Crash on 22 Freeway

Quyen Luu Dies in Single-Vehicle Collision on 22 Freeway at Magnolia Street

 
GARDEN GROVE, CA (January 7, 2019) – A 55-year-old Baldwin Park man lost his life Sunday following a single-vehicle crash on the 22 West Freeway at Magnolia Street.
 
The incident happened around 1 a.m. according to California Highway Patrol. Four people were inside the Honda that crashed into the center divider. Two of the vehicle’s occupants were hospitalized, one of whom died in the crash.
 
Quyen Luu was identified as the fatal victim in the incident, and the other person who was hurt sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Authorities had to shut down the area until 8:14 a.m. when all the roadways were cleared.
 
An investigation into this crash to determine the circumstances and cause are underway.
