San Diego, CA (April 26, 2024) On Thursday morning, a pedestrian was found dead in a suspected hit-and-run collision on Interstate 8.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian crash happened before 6:45 a.m. on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 8 in the Midway District area.

Reports say that a motorist found the victim next to the fast lane, and the driver then called 911 to report the incident.

Medics responded to the scene to pick up the body.

The CHP is investigating the fatal pedestrian crash and has not released further details at this time.
