Peter Kobzar of East Wenatchee Dies in Highway 2 Vehicle Collision [Wenatchee, WA]

Wenatchee, WA (January 19, 2023) – On Thursday morning, Peter Kobzar, 61, of East Wenatchee, and Luis Martinez, 33, also of Wenatchee, lost their lives in a Highway 2 vehicle collision.

The traffic collision happened at milepost 135 near Lincoln Rock State Park. 

Reports say Luis Martinez was eastbound on the freeway when he reportedly lost control and crossed the center median. The vehicle rotated and was hit by a westbound vehicle.

Unfortunately, Peter Kobzar and Luis Martinez died at the crash scene.

In the meantime, the authorities are investigating the collision at milepost 135. It is unknown if drugs and/or alcohol played a role in the collision.
