Fatality Reported in Alpine Road Vehicle Collision
Stockton, CA (May 11, 2023) – On Wednesday morning, a person sustained fatal injuries following a 2-vehicle collision on Highway 26.
The fatal collision took place minutes before 11 a.m. in the area of Alpine Road wherein a silver Infiniti and a white F-250 were involved.
Investigating officers said the Infiniti was eastbound when the driver struck some gravel on the shoulder. The driver lost control of the vehicle and swerved onto the oncoming traffic.
The F-250 struck the passenger side of the Infiniti after it crossed over into the westbound lane.
It has not yet been identified who among the two drivers was killed in the accident.
In the meantime, officers are investigating and it’s unknown if drugs or alcohol were a factor.
