OXNARD, CA (December 14, 2019) – A pedestrian died after struck by a car late Saturday afternoon in Oxnard, police said.
 
The fatal crash happened around 5:44 p.m. at East Vineyard Avenue and Central Avenue.
 
CHP officials said the pedestrian was walking at the intersection when an unknown vehicle hit them.
 
Arriving units pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. Information on the victim’s identity has not yet been released pending family notification.
 
There is no further information on the circumstances leading up to the accident at this time. An investigation is still ongoing.
