SAN DIEGO, CA (May 24, 2019) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle Friday evening in San Diego.
 
The crash happened around 8:34 p.m. along the westbound 8 Freeway on-ramp at Fairmount Avenue, just near 15 Freeway.
 
Police responded to the scene and located the pedestrian with major head trauma. Paramedics took the victim to a hospital in an unknown condition.
 
The vehicle that struck the pedestrian was described as a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck with major front-end damage.
 
A red Toyota sedan was also located in the crash site with major front-end damage, but no further details were provided.
 
At least one lane of traffic was blocked nearby for the investigation.
