Man Dies in Santa Ana Pedestrian Accident
SANTA ANA, CA (June 13, 2019) – A man died Tuesday night in a Santa Ana pedestrian accident at South Fairview and West Harvard streets.
Officers began receiving calls around 10:15 p.m., regarding the Santa Ana pedestrian accident at the intersection. Arriving officers found a man with major trauma on the sidewalk, lying next to a bicycle.
According to police, it is still unclear whether the man had been walking his bike or riding it.
Unfortunately, medics rushed the gravely injured victim to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
According to a preliminary investigation, the driver heading southbound on South Fairview Street jumped a curb for unknown reasons and struck the man traveling north on the west sidewalk.
Following the incident, the driver pulled over at a parking lot and contacted the police.
