Galveston Police Department Investigates Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash on 28th Seawall Boulevard
Galveston, TX (October 27, 2023) On Thursday evening, pick up truck fatally struck a 61-year-old man in a pedestrian crash on Seawall Boulevard.
According to the Galveston Police Department, the fatal hit-and-run crash happened at about 9:20 p.m. along 28th Seawall Boulevard.
Reports say that the male pedestrian was walking along 28th Seawall Boulevard, when a pickup truck struck the man and drove away without stopping to render aid to the fallen man.
Officials say that the victim was rushed to the trauma center at Johns Sealy Hospital’s, however, the man succumbed to his injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital.
Authorities have taken a person of interest into custody, however no additional information has been released at this time.
Police are investigating the fatal hit-and-run crash.
