Patricia Shaw of Temple Killed in Vehicle Collision on TX-236 [Coryell County, TX]

Coryell County, TX (Aug. 11, 2023) – On Wednesday, 66-year-old Patricia Shaw of Temple lost her life following a vehicle collision on TX-236.

Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers responded to a traffic accident at approximately 2:20 p.m. near the Coryell / Bell County Line. The crash occurred at the intersection of Highway 36 and TX-236.

A 2020 Dodge Ram truck driven by a 65-year-old Temple man was northbound on TX-236. 

At the same time, a 2022 Ford F-350 driven by a 35-year-old Belton man was towing a trailer westbound on Highway 36.

According to the investigating officer, the Dodge driver failed to yield the right of way at the stop sign and crashed into the Ford F-350. 

The Dodge Ram passenger, Patricia Shaw, was declared dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Coy Latham.
