1 Dead in Lucerne Auto Accident on Highway 20 and Lake Street
LUCERNE, CA (January 19, 2022) – Sunday night, Patricia Martha Murphy suffered injuries in a deadly crash on Highway 20 and Lake Street.
The incident occurred at 11:52 p.m. on Highway 20, just east of Lake Street.
According to reports, 31-year-old Patricia Martha Murphy of Lucerne drove a westbound 2012 Volkswagen. Then, she “unsafely turned and allowed her vehicle to travel to the right from the main traveled portion of the roadway,” the CHP revealed.
Afterward, she struck a Ram 5500 pickup parked on the side of the road.
The impact left a 30-year-old man in the passenger seat with fatal injuries. Then, the authorities declared him dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, responders took Murphy to Sutter Lakeside Hospital in Lakeport with minor injuries.
