Man Suffers Injury in Olympia Pedestrian Accident
OLYMPIA, WA (February 21, 2019) – A 27-year-old pedestrian suffered serious injuries Wednesday when he was hit by a pickup truck on Yelm Highway Southeast near Rich Road Southeast.
The 27-year old man, of Pierce County, was crossing in the 2800 block of Yelm Highway Southeast when he was struck around 7 a.m. The pickup truck driver did not see the man until it was too late, per reports.
The victim was brought to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia for treatment. As far as the aftermath, the driver will be cited for failing to yield to the pedestrian.
