Santa Barbara, CA (January 21, 2021) – On Wednesday, a pedestrian was injured, while police arrested 32-year-old Nicholas Jasso Jr of Santa Barbara in a DUI crash on State Street.
 
Authorities responded to the crash scene at about 8:16 a.m. on the 1600 block area.
 
Jasso was driving southbound at approximately 30 mph when he struck the Santa Barbara construction worker.
 
Also, the front passenger window of Jasso’s vehicle was smashed in the incident.
 
Immediately, an AMR ambulance took the injured worker to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
 
Apparently, the victim’s name and condition were not yet available.
 
Authorities arrested Jasso on suspicion of DUI and other charges. They booked him into the Santa Barbara County Jail.
