52-Year-Old Matthew Hornsleth Killed in Highway 101 Pedestrian Crash [Ventura, CA]

Camarillo Man Involved in Ventura Fatal Traffic Crash

Ventura, CA (November 21, 2023) – 52-year-old Matthew Hornsleth of Oxnard was killed in a Highway 101 pedestrian accident.

It was before 10 p.m. when the fatal collision happened north of Seaward Avenue.

Officers said Hornsleth was hit by a 2019 Ford Ranger traveling south at approximately 65 to 70 mph. Afterward, two other vehicles also struck him before responders arrived. 

Sadly, Hornsleth was declared deceased at the scene.

Authorities believe Hornsleth was homeless. 

Moreover, the Ford Ranger driver, a 25-year-old Camarillo man, stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
