Marcus Norris Dies Following Crash on Soboba Road Near Lake Park Drive

 
SAN JACINTO, CA (March 25, 2019) – A 43-year-old drag racer died Friday when his vehicle crashed on Soboba Road near Lake Park Drive.
 
The deadly collision happened in the 23000 block of Soboba Road at the Soboba Casino Resort.
 
Around 2:45 p.m., Marcus Norris went off the end of the track and overturned in a dry wash, California Highway Patrol Officer Darren Meyer confirmed.
 
Norris, of Litchfield Park, Ariz., died at 3 p.m., according to reports. Meanwhile, the race shut down for the rest of the day due to the investigation.
 
At this time, the Sheriff’s Department is investigating the ultimate cause.
