Man Seriously Injured in Pedestrian Crash on Carlsbad Boulevard [Carlsbad, CA]

CARLSBAD, CA (May 5, 2019) – A man was seriously injured Sunday evening following a pedestrian crash on Carlsbad Boulevard. Authorities did not disclose the identity and age of the victim.
 
According to the Carlsbad Police Department, the incident happened near Tierra del Oro Street, at about 9:00 PM. The victim attempted to cross outside of a marked crosswalk when a northbound Toyota Tacoma hit him.
 
Emergency responders transported the pedestrian to a local hospital with a serious head injury. Further updates on his current condition were not immediately provided. Meanwhile, the 18-year-old pickup driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
