1 Dead in Butte County Auto Accident on Highway 99 and Wright Avenue
BUTTE COUNTY, CA (November 10, 2021) – Monday night, a man died in a semi-truck crash on Highway 99 and Wright Avenue.
The incident happened at about 10:50 p.m. on Highway 99 and Wright Avenue near Gridley.
According to reports, a Chrysler 300 headed south on Highway 99. Then, it lost control and spun out counterclockwise into the northbound lane.
Eventually, the Chrysler crashed into a northbound semi-truck.
After the crash, the semi-driver pulled over and showed no signs of impairment. Also, the semi didn’t suffer any injuries.
The incident led to the closure from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Tuesday.
At this time, the authorities haven’t disclosed the identity of the deceased.
