Truck Crashes into Peoria Police SUV on 83rd Avenue and Sweetwater Avenue

 
PEORIA, AZ (August 4, 2021) – Tuesday morning, authorities arrested a man after a DUI crash on 83rd Avenue and Sweetwater Avenue.
 
According to reports, the incident happened at around 6:30 a.m. A northbound white truck on 83rd Avenue crashed head-on with a Peoria police SUV just north of Sweetwater Avenue.
 
Responders transported both drivers to a hospital. Then, the hospital later released the officer. Meanwhile, the other driver received treatment for minor injuries. Then, the officers later arrested him on suspicion of DUI.
 
At this time, the authorities haven’t disclosed the identity of the male driver.
 
Meanwhile, the police shut down 83rd Avenue for an investigation most of the morning. Then, they reopened it at around 9:00 a.m.
 
The crash led to no other injuries.
