Lisa Merxbauer of San Antonio Killed in Vehicle Collision on Business 84 [Nolan County, TX]

Nolan County, TX (Aug. 3, 2023) – Just before 5 p.m. on Tuesday, driver Lisa Merxbauer, 66, of San Antonio, and her passenger, Robin Lawrence of Lubbock, were killed in a vehicle collision on Business 84.

Investigating officers said the two women were traveling southeast on Business 84 toward an intersection at Highway 84.

At the same time, another vehicle was driving on the highway toward the intersection. 

Merxbauer’s vehicle pulled into the roadway and drove into its path but was hit on the driver’s side.

 Lisa Merxbauer and Robin Lawrence were seriously injured and died at the crash scene.

Meanwhile, the driver of the other vehicle sustained injuries from the collision. He was transported to Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital for treatment and was later released.

Officers are investigating the cause of the fatal collision.
