Visalia, CA (April 06, 2021) – On Sunday, 20-year-old Leonel Alacon injured a woman and her one-year-old child in a DUI hit-and-run crash on Walnut Avenue.
 
The Visalia accident took place at 7:30 p.m. near Linwood Avenue.
 
Apparently, Hernandez Alacon was eastbound on a white Nissan Altima on Walnut Avenue when his vehicle left the road.
 
His vehicle went onto the sidewalk and struck the woman and toddler, who was in a stroller.
 
Leonel did not stop after hitting them, and fled the scene right after the incident.
 
Luckily, the victims were not seriously injured. Paramedics released them at the scene with minor complaints of pain.
 
Meanwhile, officers found Alacon’s abandoned vehicle nearby. They said they located him running, and were able to arrest him.
 
Authorities booked Alacon at the Tulare County Pre-Trial for driving under the influence, hit and run, child endangerment, and was an unlicensed driver.
