McKinleyville Girl Hospitalized Following Crash on Sutter Road, DUI Driver William Cromwell Arrested
McKinleyville, CA (November 16, 2020) – On Sunday, Kasey Blount was injured in a DUI crash on Sutter Road and Weirup Lane.
The McKinleyville crash took place at about 6:50 p.m. when a white pickup truck and another vehicle crashed head-on.
Later reports indicate that 29-year-old William Cromwell of Santa Barbara drove west on Sutter Road in a 2000 Nissan Frontier.
He then drifted eastbound and into oncoming traffic, colliding with a 2007 Jeep Wrangler, driven by Samantha Blount, Kasey’s mom.
As a result, police arrested Cromwell for felony DUI.
Paramedics later took Kasey Blount to the hospital over serious internal injuries. She is currently being treated, and a fundraiser has been kickstarted in order to help cover her medical expenses.
