Spokane Valley, WA (December 03, 2021) – On Wednesday morning, officers arrested 21-year-old Justus Armijo-Wilkins in a DUI crash on North Glenn Court which resulted in injuries.

Reports said Armijo-Wilkins missed a red light while being chased by the officers. Unfortunately, he struck another vehicle, injuring its occupants.

Officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on the 1700 block area. Apparently, the vehicle with a damaged driver’s side has a broken window and a temporary plate in the rear window.

The Authorities Found the Suspect, Justus Armijo-Wilkins

When the authorities with a K-9 arrived, they found Armijo-Wilkins in the driver’s seat. Also, there was a woman in the passenger seat. Both were sleeping, with items commonly related to drug use inside in the car.

Moreover, the authorities put their patrol vehicles at the front and back of the the suspect’s vehicle to prevent the couple from leaving.

However, Armijo-Wilkins and his passenger did not wake up to the officers’ talking, emergency lights flashing or cars moving.

The suspect woke up later with his speech slurred and his eyes were watery and droopy.

Armijo-Wilkins started his car, despite deputies telling him not to. He rolled up the window to stop the officers from stopping him.

The authorities later arrested him.
