Jordan Rawlins of Perris Dies in Skateboard Accident on Arlington Avenue [Riverside, CA]

Riverside, CA (February 27, 2022) – On Friday, 16-year-old Jordan Rawlins of Perris died in a skateboard accident on Arlington Avenue.

Officers received the collision report at 7:30 p.m. at the Brockton Avenue intersection.

According to the investigators, a westbound 2003 GMC Yukon with a trailer attached struck the juvenile.

Officers said the victim entered the intersection riding a skateboard and was northbound on Brockton Avenue.

Right away, the rescuers took Rawlins to Riverside Community Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Moreover, the Yukon driver, a 60-year-old Riverside resident did not suffer injuries from the accident. He remained at the scene and cooperated with the officers’ investigation.

The authorities are investigating if drugs and/or alcohol were a factor in the collision.
