Joey Guerrero of Fresno Injured in Pedestrian Accident on Highway 140 [Merced, CA]

Merced, CA (December 10, 2021) – On Wednesday, 33-year-old Joey Guerrero of Fresno sustained injuries in a pedestrian accident on Highway 140.

The emergency responders arrived at the accident scene at 4:05 p.m. to the northbound Highway 99 on-ramp.

Immediately, they took Guerrero to Mercy Medical Center in Merced with a broken leg.

Moreover, investigating officers said that the involved driver was entering the Highway 99 on-ramp in a 2006 Ford F-150 about 30 mph. 

When at the same time, Guerrero was getting across the on-ramp wearing dark clothing.

The driver did not see the pedestrian and struck him.

Meanwhile, the officers said the driver remained at the scene and coordinated with the investigation. Neither drugs nor alcohol was suspected in this accident. Officers are still investigating this incident.
