3 People Hospitalized in 2-Vehicle DUI Collision on SR 20

Republic, WA (January 20, 2023) On Wednesday afternoon, 62-year-old Jacqueline Katai of Republic and 2 others were injured after a DUI crash on SR 20.

WSP says that the 2-vehicle DUI collision happened on state Route 20 east of Republic.

Reports say that Katai was on an eastbound 2011 Chevrolet Equinox that veered onto the wrong lane and crashed into a westbound 1999 Dodge Ram pickup truck.

Authorities say that Katai and both the occupants of the pickup truck sustained injuries due to the collision. Paramedics trasnported all patients to a hospital.

Meanwhile, officials are pending charges for Jacqueline Katai due to possibly driving impaired.

Officials are investigating the 2-vehicle collision and have not released additional information at this time.
