2 People Hospitalized in Houston Shooting and Auto Accident on Lee Road and Eastex Freeway

HOUSTON, TX (December 21, 2023) – Wednesday night, a horrific shooting and vehicle crash on Lee Road and Eastex Freeway injured one person.

The incident started when a man in his vehicle was shot on Lee Road.

According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the man fled the scene at a high rate of speed and crashed into several vehicles at the intersection of Lee Road and Eastex Freeway.

Moreover, responders transported the man to a trauma center, where he was later pronounced dead. Then, paramedics transported two female occupants of one of the other vehicles, to a hospital with unknown injuries.

Furthermore, authorities confirmed that the man’s vehicle was shot multiple times, hitting the man at least once.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
