HALF MOON BAY, CA (May 22, 2023) – Saturday afternoon, a horrific plane crash in Pacific Ocean killed two people.

The incident happened at around 2:15 p.m. in the Pacific Ocean, about 40 miles (64 km) off the coast of Half Moon Bay.

According to the National Transportation Safety Board, a Viking Air DHC-6-400 Twin Otter crashed in the Pacific Ocean just short moments after takeoff. Also, officers confirmed that the turboprop aircraft was en route to Honolulu Hawaii when the accident occurred.

Moreover, authorities said that two occupants of the plane died in the crash.
