Lone Pine, CA (January 6, 2024) On Sunday afternoon, a hit-and-run crash on Whitney Portal Road left a 45-year-old Acura driver with serious injuries.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the hit-and-run accident happened around 2:13 p.m. west of Horseshoe Meadows Road.

Reports say that the driver was driving an eastbound 2020 Acura was sideswiped by a pickup truck from the rear. Officials say that the truck, described as late 1990s or early 2000s American-made that was white or light gray, stopped before leaving the scene.
